Turning Bad Into Good
On November 16, 2024, I was headed to my job as Guest Services Manager at the Garden City Hotel. (This was a few weeks before I was fired for calling the police to report deep state death threats coming from Katie Batilla.) En route, I was struck head-on by a white sedan while riding my Segway GT2 scooter on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola, New York. I was traveling about 25-30 mph, and my scooter was totaled. I remember the moment of impact, and then waking up in the ambulance. Nothing in between. I was out for at least 15 minutes.… read more

Show Me Your Diphthong
The first person I regularly interacted with who had the L.I. accent was my former boss, Donna, in New Haven, Connecticut. She’d take the Port Jefferson ferry across the Sound to see family. Years later, my boss from Times Square invited me out to his estate in Brightwaters for holidays during the pandemic. His delightful wife, Linda, treated me like their own son, and frankly, I wish my real ma talked that way. Moral of the story is: even though I’ve attracted the attention of deep state shadow actors (one sexy, all others goons) and unscrupulous detectives in the Nassau… read more

Being Cautiously Optimistic As I Look Ahead to the Long Haul
Todaisy is actually three daisies, and they’re in potting soil. However, as I was about to head over to the train station, I sensed impending doom. I feared Detective Hausmann would be waiting for me there, lurking in the shadows, eager to once again forcefully shove the flowers in my knapsack and me in a holding cell. I snapped a quick picture with the cinematic sunset and boarded a N.I.C.E. bus. So, they’re here with me in my candlelit Flushing apartment. You, anonymous reader, are invited to come collect them. Please call first to avoid police involvement/pepper spray discharge. When… read more

Motor Banking Pods to the Underworld
While traipsing about this spooky, Long Island, I have previously written about compelling bank architecture AND references to the occult along Olde Corntree Road. Today’s spookyposting update features both! These modernist structures caught my eye the first time I arrived in this unusually-espooky district of Nassau County (which is simultaneously in Westbury, Carle Place, Garden City, Uniondale, and probably Mineola, too.) The commercial development at #600 O-C-R was constructed in 1958, but I’ve struggled to find any online references to its architect. The detached pods somewhat resemble the observation towers at the New York State Pavilion in Flushing Meadows. (From… read more

Damaged Goods
Todaisy is a bit mangled. This was not my intention, and I should note – this time, its rough condition has nothing to do with a raging Nassau County Police Detective shoving it into my backpack while ignoring my Miranda rights. I should have picked one up at Flushing Flower earlier, but I wanted to visit Sonia’s on Willis Avenue. I haven’t been there in a while, and they were instrumental in proving that someone in the deep state has violated my First Amendment (et al.) rights. I first traveled to Lower Manhattan to pray and chat with my homeless… read more

An Apology
In my endless quest to be a better person in the eyes of our Creator, I must address some offensive language I used last August 28, 2024. Throughout that day, I was engaged in a text conversation with the owner of phone number 313-855-3669, who was using an anonymous number to stoke confusion & terror in my heart. At one point, the owner of phone number 313-855-3669 addressed an assumption I made about political/cultural leanings. Perhaps I make light of things too quickly, and I was all too eager to align myself whichever way the wind was blowing from the… read more
